Who we don't work with
Most agency websites pretend they're a fit for everyone. We're not. Here's the honest list of clients we won't take on — and why publishing it filters the wrong leads before they ever reach a discovery call.
Counter-positioning is a service
When an agency tries to be a fit for everyone, the work suffers and the wrong clients get sold. Publishing our disqualifiers up front does three things: it filters out bad-fit prospects before either side wastes time, it signals confidence in who we are good for, and it forces us to keep our scope honest.
If you read this list and most of it doesn't apply, we're probably a strong fit. If most of it does, we'd rather tell you that on the homepage than in week three.
- Most agencies hide who they're bad for
- That asymmetry produces churned engagements and bad reviews
- An honest disqualifier list is a higher-trust signal than a logo wall
- The clients who match our model self-select faster
Lai Solutions is probably not for you if
- You're pre-product-market-fit. You don't have a stable ICP yet, you can't articulate the problem you solve, or your offer changes every month. We can't build a tailored AI system around a moving target. Get to PMF first; come back when the message holds for 90 days running.
- You sell low-ACV transactional product. Average contract value below ~€500 ARR. The economics don't work — for AI sales agents, the cost-per-booked-call only makes sense at higher contract sizes; for AI marketing, the iteration loop needs revenue per customer to amortize against.
- You want a €500/month tool. We're an agency engagement, not a SaaS subscription. If a SaaS tool already does what you need, buy it — we'll tell you that on the first call. If you want bespoke, that comes with bespoke pricing.
- You expect us to define your strategy. AI doesn't replace strategic clarity. If you don't know who your customer is, what your ICP looks like or what success means in numbers, we can't make that up for you. Strategy comes from you; we execute against it at scale.
- You want generic content at the lowest possible price. Cheapest-possible AI marketing is a commodity now — you can rent it for €30/month. If price is the only axis you optimize on, we are not the right vendor. We compete on quality, fit and operational maturity, not on undercutting ChatGPT.
- You expect zero-review, zero-trust autonomy from day one. Every system needs a calibration window. We start with you approving everything in the first 30 days, then move to spot-check. If you want full automation on day one with no review and no responsibility, we're not it.
- You can't dedicate any internal time during onboarding. Tailor-made means we have to learn your business. That requires 4-6 hours of your time in week 1, and async feedback through month 1. If you can't commit that, the system won't sound like you, and we won't take the engagement.
- You're allergic to operating in Slack or sharing CRM access. Our delivery model is async-first. We work in your Slack, your Notion, your CRM. If your security or culture doesn't allow that, we can find a workaround for enterprise but the engagement is more expensive and slower.
- You expect AI to replace humans in your sales conversations. We replace the cold-outreach motion, not the discovery call. If you don't have AEs (or a founder) who can run a sales conversation once we book the meeting, the pipeline we build won't convert.
- You want a 12-month build with all requirements locked on day one. For Custom AI Systems we work in 4-week pilot then 12-week production. If you need a fixed-bid waterfall contract with a 2,000-line spec frozen in advance, we're not the right shop — that model produces dead software in our experience.
- Your problem is one a SaaS tool already solves well. If HubSpot, Outreach, Apollo, ChatGPT Enterprise or any of a hundred other tools already does what you need, buy it. We routinely tell prospects to do exactly that. Custom is the right answer when off-the-shelf genuinely doesn't fit — not as a default.
- You're a 5-person team where everyone already knows everything. Internal AI copilots earn their keep when knowledge is scattered across docs, people and channels. If you have one Notion page and everyone reads it, you don't need a copilot — you need to keep doing what you're doing.
No hard feelings
If half this list describes your situation, you have our blessing to close this tab. We'd rather lose a discovery call than sell you the wrong engagement. The agency-client relationship is a multi-month commitment; getting the fit wrong is expensive for both sides.
If you'd still like a second opinion — even just to confirm we're the wrong vendor and to get a recommendation for the right one — book a call. We'll be honest.
We should talk

First call is always Bastian. No SDR layer, no "discovery rep" filter. Twenty minutes, your problem, an honest take.
